In case you missed it, Bandsintown closed out the year with its inaugural 2022 High Notes, a live music year-in-review for both artists and fans.
Bandsintown’s registered fans and artists received a personalized year-end recap highlighting the live music preferences and milestones in 2022.
Fans proved their commitment to live music by following new artists, from their favorite local bands to global superstars, 205.3 million times and traveling a combined 2.67 billion miles to shows in 2022.
London has the most active concertgoers, followed by New York, Nashville, Paris, Austin, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, Denver, and San Francisco.
For artists on the platform, the data shows that Steve Lacy, Taylor Swift, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, and the Marías hit the High Notes hardest this year. In a not-so-shocking turn of events, Taylor Swift closed out the year with most followers gained, reaching over 7.5M, while artists like Steve Lacy showed the fastest growth, and The Marías shows generated the most interest from Bandsintown fans. When it came to taking the stage, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard played the most live shows.
Thank you to the 570k+ artists registered on Bandsintown for bringing music lovers from all over the world together. As 2023 kicks off, we can’t wait to see the new heights our fans and artists will reach. You can check out your artist High Notes here.
